About The Pink Slipper Dance Academy
Mrs. Melanie established The Pink Slipper Dance Academy in the fall of 2008. What began as a dream became a reality as she began choreographing and teaching classes at the age of 19. Since that time, The Pink Slipper has grown and prospered! In 2012 a new studio facility was built for business expansion. That same year, Junior and Senior Elite Competition Teams were created and have traveled all over the state of North Carolina to compete in regional and national levels. Students have been to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the annual Showstopper Convention to train with famous choreographers. Students have also been selected for scholarships to train in Chicago, Ilinois and Charleston, South Carolina. In July of 2016, a select group of students were chosen to train with the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and Broadway choreographers in New York City! The opportunities provided at The Pink Slipper are amazing and we continue to grow and improve each year! At our dance studio, recreational and competition level classes are offered to provide the best experience for every type of dancer. All Pink Slipper dancers are showcased each year in the annual recital. Therefore, if you are looking for a dance studio that will provide a positive, nurturing learning experience for your family then look no further! The Pink Slipper Dance Academy is the place for you!
